Sometimes, I feel like I need to pinch myself because all these things that the Lord has been laying on my heart are becoming a reality. Dreams that I could never come up with in my fleshly mind. I am so excited to update you all on what God has been doing and what I will be doing in Cambodia.

First, I have spent the past three months being trained at Adventures in Missions, Center For Global Action: Mission track. What that means is that I have been going through classes that have taught me more about being a long term missionary. We have had the opportunity to learn about contextualization, study of poverty cure, focus on the 10/40 window, how to fund-raise, how to explain the gospel in different cultures, and so so so much more. It has equipped and prepared me for what the Lord is leading me into! Thank you so much to everyone who donated for the training program!

So what is next…

I have been accepted to join Adventures in Missions in starting a missions base in Cambodia, Southeast Asia!

The Adventures in Missions Base in Cambodia is a guesthouse owned by Adventures which is called The Overflow Guesthouse.

“Adventures saw a need to cultivate an atmosphere welcoming the presence of the Lord in the middle of a spiritual battlefield. This place would not only serve as a base to coordinate mission teams, but would be missional as well, reaching out to those journeying through Cambodia seeking spiritual enlightenment and looking everywhere but at Jesus. This is a prime opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus to everyone passing through. Now Adventures is leasing a guesthouse in Siem Reap, Cambodia, and using it as a base of ministry. We’re calling it “Overflow Guesthouse” as the vision is to be an overflow of God’s love to tourists, mission teams, and all our ministry hosts in the country. Adventures Cambodia is a new brand of mission base, tapping into a model of business as missions as we run a guesthouse complete with a cafe and restaurant. We look forward to discipling locals as we serve alongside them in business. Overflow plays a large role in filling the gaps between ministry funding sources and long term sustainability. Through this guesthouse, we hope to leverage the movement of mission teams in coordination with long term efforts while providing essential ministry resources, facilities, and services. The vision is to pilot a progressive way of building sustainable mission” (Adventures in Missions).

I will be assisting with the guest house, but my main job is to do evangelism and discipleship with the local Cambodians. My job title is the Community Outreach Director. What that entails is, I will be the connection point for short term missionary teams coming in and long term ministries that are already established. I will have relationships built with local ministries as well as serving alongside of them in what God is already doing. The established ministries that Adventures in Missions partners with include street kid ministries and drug rehabilitation centers! However, the large part of my job is to build relationships with the women of Cambodia since that is nonexistent right now. Many are trapped in human trafficking as well as poverty. I am not sure what the Lord has planned there other than building relationships and through relationships discipleship! I have a dream of teaching and seeing women doing hair, makeup, nails and the like. Through that, they could have sustainable development as well as discipleship! They could be freed from poverty bondage as well as spiritual bondage. My hands are open to whatever the Father has though. He has just chosen me to be the vessel. This job and base is very much pioneer, so once we are actually there we will see what the Lord really has for us!

Why Cambodia? There are so many needs in there! Cambodia is located in the 10/40 window which means that out of the entire population only 1.7% of them profess to believe in Jesus! It is crazy to think that 98% of the Cambodian population has never heard or has not professed to believe in Jesus! The main religion in Cambodia is Buddhism. Cambodia has suffered many tragedies such as a genocide which killed up to three million people over the course of four years as well as suffers from human trafficking oppression. They are in desperate need to hear the name of Jesus and for their hope to be restored! This country needs to be lifted out of oppression and into redemption.

Second, I am taking a vision trip to Cambodia soon for a month before I actually move there! The point of this month long vision trip is to look for a place to live, get acquainted with the culture and ministries, and see what life could look like there. It is basically a mini missions trip! I will be partnering with established ministries that were mentioned above. After the vision trip, I will meet with the rest of my team in October to go through team training until we launch for Cambodia in January! My contract with Adventures in Missions for the Cambodia Base is for two years, but I feel like I am going to be there indefinitely unless the Lord directs me somewhere else.

Lastly, I need you! I cannot do what I feel like the Lord is leading me into without you! My job is 100% support raised which means I have to have $1800 a month coming in to live and do life in Cambodia. I am looking for monthly prayer and financial partners. To me, prayer is just as important as receiving financial donations. If you would like to be on the prayer team and be kept up to date with requests, please call or text me! If you would like to join the financial monthly support team, please let me know! Ask the Lord if this is where He would like you to invest in His Kingdom and if so how much. One time donations are welcomed because they help to pay for the vision trip and set up costs, but monthly donors are a must!

Also, I am currently raising funds to go on the vision trip which costs $2000! If you feel led to give, click on the Donate! button on the homepage under my picture!
